Coming events: New bookings will be made after summerizing the barn. Kindly pardon the slight delay.

Bottomland is a private music venue, specializing in house concerts and weekly jams for musicians in the Austin, Tx and the central Texas region, as well as musical guests and friends from other parts of the globe. We are also known to throw annual parties where musicians, cooks, and friends gather to celebrate music, food, and fond bonds of an extended family. The venue is geared toward the benefit of musicians, a place where musicians can meet other musicians, share music, and perform for an appreciative audience. The barn supports a quality sound system, a BYOB bar, and a charming rustic atmosphere that come together to create a good time for those who attend. During the warm months, the barn is airy and open to the surrounding property, creating an environment that is unconstrained and spontaneous.
Bottomland Blooms is the other side of the coin, a greenhouse, shadehouse, and three and a half acres of alluvial soil in the Colorado River Basin. Helen is a member of the Master Garderner program in Travis County, and she specializes in growing and propagating tropicals, annuals, perennials, and trees. Tours, advice and instructions, workshops, and horticultural services are available by appointment, supported by an extensive on-premisis library. The construction of our online catalog of available plants is in progress and will be posted here upon completion of the project. Helen will support a blog and mailing list to discuss the activity and issues of gardening and tending an orchard and trees in the central Texas region, which has been undergoing extreme drought during the past couple of years.
